Under the provisions of the CP Act, 1986 there is a three tier quasi-judicial mechanism at the District, State and National levels to provide simple and speedy resolution to consumer disputes.
Total value of goods or service and the compensation claimed over Amount of fee payable.
District Form
1. Upto one lakh Rupees – ₹100
2. Above one lakh and upto five lakh rupees – ₹500
3. Above five lakh and upto ten lakh rupees- ₹1000
4. Above ten lakh and upto twenty lakh rupees – ₹2000
STATE COMMISSION
1. Above twenty lakh and upto fifty lakh rupees – ₹5000
2. Above fifty lakh and upto one crore rupees – 10,000
NATIONAL COMMISSION
1. Above one crore rupees – ₹25,000
2. Above one crore rupees – ₹50,000
3. Above ten crore rupees – ₹1,00,000
