Insurance profits have hit a 5-year high last year – just shy of $5 billion. That’s up 42 percent on 2021, largely driven by higher premiums. Home, motor and employer’s liability insurance saw the sharpest spikes. Consultants at KPMG are forecasting another 10 percent hike in premiums this year.
